Special Weather Statement issued December 05 at 6:35AM CST by NWS GreenBay

...SNOW RESULTING IN SLIPPERY TRAVEL CONDITIONS THIS MORNING...
A band of snow shifting north through the area was resulting in slippery travel conditions this morning. A lull in the snow is expected across portions of central and east-central Wisconsin (generally south of Highway 29) during the mid-morning hours.
This combined with temperatures edging up toward 30 degrees will probably allow for some improvement in travel conditions-- especially on treated roadways. Meanwhile, the snow will be more persistent across the north.
Another band of snow is expected to develop across central and east-central Wisconsin toward lunchtime. A burst or two of heavy snow is possible in these areas during the afternoon hours, before the snow tapers off to drizzle or freezing drizzle toward evening.
The additional snowfall will likely lead to another round of hazardous travel conditions in this area.
A lull in the precipitation across the entire area is expected during the evening hours, with snow picking back up in north- central Wisconsin after midnight. Winds are expected to increase considerably overnight, with gusts of 30 to 40 mph common late tonight and Monday morning. This probably lead to considerable blowing and drifting snow on Monday morning, especially across the north which will stay colder today and should end up with more snow on the ground by Monday morning.
Anyone with travel plans today should check on the latest conditions before departing. Road conditions can be obtained by calling 5 1 1. Travel conditions across north-central Wisconsin could be especially difficult Monday morning due to the combination of blowing and drifting snow and falling temperatures.
