| | Breaking Updates | | Pro-Hamas Protesters Take Over UC Irvine Building, Quickly Find Out Things Are Different in Orange County | The latest school to be hit by pro-Hamas protests is UC Irvine, where students took over a building, built barricades, chanted "from the river to the sea" and other antisemitic slogans, and shielded themselves with umbrellas.
In a statement to Fox News Digital, a UC Irvine spokesperson said that the campus erupted into chaos after several hundreds of protesters entered the Physical Sciences Lecture Hall on the California campus and began to barricade the building at 2:30 p.m. PST.
The university said that they put out a call to local law enforcement and received immediate assistance from the Irvine Police Department and Orange County Sheriff's department. After hundreds of anti-Israel protesters swarmed campus buildings and set up barricades at the University of California, Irvine, local law enforcement agencies responded and students were ordered to "shelter in place" on Wednesday.
Footage from the campus showed law enforcement, dressed in protest gear and holding semi-automatic rifles, clashing with anti-Israel agitators. Authorities said that the protesters who entered the campus on Wednesday afternoon joined the established encampment that had been occupying the campus since April 29. In a X post, UC Irvine told students to "shelter in place" as police descended onto the campus.
"Protest has escalated near Physical Science Quad. Avoid the area," the social media post said. "If you are in the area, shelter in place for your safety until further notice." "We are continuing to monitor the situation and strongly urge people to stay away from the campus," the school said. | Read more updates here |

| | HHS Suspends EcoHealth Alliance Funding As Lab Leak Investigation Continues | Biden's Department of Health and Hunan Services suspended the non-profit research group EcoHealth Alliance from receiving federal funds. EcoHeath Alliance, under the leadership of Dr. Peter Daszak, is at ground zero of the lab leak theory of the creation of COVID-19. The suspension is merely an interim step until formal disbarment procedures get underway.
Disbarment would preclude EcoHealth Alliance from receiving government grants or contractors or working as a subcontractor on projects with government funding. In short, if HHS makes the disbarment stick, EcoHealth Alliance will be out of business. While many of Daszak's employees may end up living in refrigerator cartons beneath an overpass, Daszak will undoubtedly find a soft landing.
EcoHealth Alliance was deceptive and, in that quaint phrase, parsimonious with the truth in its dealings with its grantor agency, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID). However, how much former NIAID Director Anthony Fauci knew is debatable. I entered into a research agreement with the Wuhan Institute of Virology, a research center with strong ties (I'm being kind) to the Chinese military, to engage in research forbidden under US law.
In April 2020, under orders from the Trump administration, the National Institutes of Health terminated a grant to EcoHealth amid President Donald J. Trump's feud with China over the origin of the coronavirus. Three years later, an internal federal watchdog agency determined that the N.I.H. had failed to give a proper cause for ending the grant, which supplied an average of roughly $625,000 per year. The N.I.H. restarted a pared-back version of the award.
When the president orders a contract terminated, and the agency screws up the process, that is not an accident; that is an intentional act. | Read more updates here |
