Iran War: 140 US Troops Wounded

The Pentagon said Tuesday that 140 U.S. service members have been wounded over 10 days of sustained attacks since the start of Operation Epic Fury. The majority of injuries were minor, and 108 have already returned to duty.

Eight service members remain severely injured and are receiving the highest level of care. Seven have been killed, including Army Sgt. Benjamin Pennington, 26, of Kentucky, whose dignified transfer took place Monday at Dover Air Force Base with Vice President JD Vance in attendance.

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth said that Tuesday was the "most intense" day of strikes yet, vowing the U.S. "will not relent until the enemy is totally and decisively defeated."

The White House said more than 5,000 targets have been struck, and Iran's ballistic missile attacks are down over 90%. The Strait of Hormuz remains effectively shut, and an Iranian drone strike forced the United Arab Emirate's biggest oil refinery to halt operations.

NASA Satellite Falling Back to Earth

A 1,300-pound NASA satellite was expected to reenter Earth's atmosphere Tuesday night after nearly 14 years in orbit.

The satellite, Van Allen Probe A, launched in 2012 on what was supposed to be a two-year mission to study Earth's radiation belts, but ended up lasting seven years and making major discoveries, including the first evidence of a temporary third radiation belt that forms during intense solar activity.

The probe was originally expected to remain in orbit until 2034, but an unusually active solar cycle heated the upper atmosphere, dragging it down years earlier than expected.

NASA said most of the spacecraft would burn up during reentry, with the odds of anyone being harmed at about 1 in 4,200. Its twin, Van Allen Probe B, isn't expected to come down before 2030.

Ranking: Global Brands That Lost Ground

A new analysis of the world's top 100 brands shows some major names took a beating last year, with Tesla leading the way at roughly $15 billion in lost brand value.

The automaker's valuation fell from about $43 billion to $28 billion as controversies and trust concerns caught up with the brand, according to Brand Finance's 2026 Global 500 report.

Automakers dominated the decline. Mercedes-Benz and Porsche each lost about $6 billion in brand value as the industry navigates the costly transition to electric vehicles.

Luxury brands Louis Vuitton and Chanel each shed about $4 billion, and CVS dropped $3 billion as the pharmacy giant dealt with hundreds of store closures and a costly retreat from its healthcare clinic expansion. See the full chart here.
