To the Women Choosing a Life That Lasts

Only hours left to save 30% sitewide and help fight hunger with Joy Day.

Hi ,

On International Women's Day, I want to speak directly to the women who are building, leading, caring, striving, and quietly carrying more than most people see.

I see you.

I want to celebrate the women who are doing something quietly radical. They are choosing sustainability over burnout. Not hustle. Not grind. Not pushing through at all costs. They are choosing longevity. Health. A life that actually lasts.

They understand their bodies are not machines. Hormones shift. Energy changes. Stress lands differently, depending on the season. Needing rest is not weakness. It is wisdom.

They treat rest as a right, not a reward. Not something earned after exhaustion. Not something to apologize for. Something to protect.

They build support rather than trying to do everything alone, because real strength is not isolation. It is knowing when to lean, when to ask, and when to receive.

I know this path firsthand.

As I homeschooled four children, spoke to women's groups, helped raise funds for children in Uganda, traveled there to serve, and eventually stepped out to start Joy Organics, each season required courage. Each step forward required belief. And more than once, I felt the weight of having to prove myself while still showing up for the people who depended on me.

Running a business while caring for the people I love has stretched me in ways I never expected. Along the way, I had to learn something that did not come naturally.

I am not what I produce.
I am not my productivity.
I am not here just to perform, push, or prove.

I am here to live well. To feel good. To have energy for the things that matter. To protect my peace as fiercely as I protect my goals.

And I have seen this truth again and again.

When a woman believes in herself, she becomes unstoppable. She leads teams. She raises families. She builds companies. She starts over when she has to. She keeps going when it would be easier to stop. She creates change simply by refusing to stay small.

Confidence is not something we are born with. It is something we build. One decision at a time. One moment of courage at a time. One step forward when fear is loud and doubt is close.

If you have ever questioned whether you are ready, capable, or worthy, you are not alone. Many women carry quiet insecurity shaped by years of expectation and pressure. This is your reminder to reject those messages.

You are capable.
You are strong.
You are allowed to lead.
You are allowed to dream bigger.
You are allowed to take up space.

This International Women's Day, celebrate being a woman. Celebrate how far you have come. And do not let anything hold you back from pursuing what matters most to you.

To every woman already living this way, I celebrate you. And to the ones still finding their way there, I celebrate you most of all.

With admiration and gratitude,
Joy Smith
