| | March 1, 2026 | | | | | | | | | Good morning!
In my line of work, I've learned it's never too early to think about brain health. I've also learned cognitive function isn't just about the brain, it's about the whole body.
Read on for some interesting findings, plus we're sharing the best healthy hot chocolate recipe for the winter that never ends.

It looked at where and how fat is distributed throughout the body, relative to other tissues.¹
Here's what happened: - Rather than just measuring overall body fat, researchers used advanced analysis to identify six distinct "fat distribution profiles" that people naturally fall into.
- The researchers then connected these patterns to brain scans, cognitive testing, and neurological disease risk.
- Two fat distribution patterns stood out as particularly problematic:
- Skinny-fat profile: People who appeared normal weight but carried high fat relative to muscle across multiple areas exhibited accelerated brain aging and cognitive decline.
- Pancreatic-predominant fat: Individuals with higher fat around the pancreas showed the most pronounced gray matter loss, white matter changes, and faster brain aging.
So while it's great to focus on body recomp in order to feel strong and lean, it also makes your brain happy. Muscle matters for all bodies and brains.

But research shows hitting this climax can become harder with age: - Women often deal with lower libido (and less orgasms) as they age due to hormonal shifts post-menopause.³
- Vaginal dryness impacts about one-third of women over 40 years old.⁴
- 99% of all cases of chronic pelvic pain are in females.⁵
But there's a 3-in-1 solution: MV.Health's Crescendo 2. This FDA-registered device is science-backed to boost arousal, support natural lubrication, and increase orgasms.
Developed with Ob/Gyns, it took eight years of research to perfect the vibrator's bendable, award-winning design. It bends like a finger with six motors that stimulate multiple erogenous zones—so you can increase blood flow, arousal, or satisfaction from any angle.
The doctor-recommended device is also a great choice for newbies and experienced users alike. You'll have the choice of 16 intensity levels (and 12 preset modes) to find the setting that actually brings you to a finish. Plus, the smartphone app lets you customize every pattern to your desire.
Ready to experience the Crescendo difference? It's currently 50% off (and eligible for purchase with FSA/HSA accounts). | | | | | | | | | | Image by Wendy Troxel x mbg creative | | It's always fun to see what resonates with our mbg readers—these were some of our more popular articles last week. Older expert birders still had brain advantages over younger novices.
- The more accurate the birding experts were, the greater the benefits, so make it your job to be detail-oriented.
- Hobbies that involve perception, attention, and memory could support neuroplasticity and long-term cognitive health.

For much of the country, spring has not sprung. Many mindbodygreen editors are based in the Northeast, so we've been swapping tips all week about how to make a cozy, yet still nourishing hot chocolate at home.
All you really need to start is your milk of choice and cocoa powder. To further spruce it up, consider adding a dash of cinnamon, some protein powder, a drizzle of maple syrup (if you want it a bit sweeter), or a couple of chocolate chips for an even richer flavor (my fave).
Follow these step-by-step instructions for making your own at home.
