Special Weather Statement issued January 22 at 11:11AM CST by NWS GreenBay

...SCATTERED SNOW SHOWERS WILL RESULT IN A BRIEF PERIOD OF LOW VISIBILITIES AND BRIEF BURST OF MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW...
Radar indicated scattered snow showers from near Peshtigo to near Oconto to Shawano southward to Appleton and Oshkosh. The snow showers were moving to the east southeast at 30 mph.
The heavier snow showers will be capable of producing a brief period of low visibilities down to a quarter to half mile, and snowfall rates around an inch or two per hour. Motorist can expect rapidly changing visibilities and road conditions as the snow showers move through the area. Motorists traveling Highway 141 and Highway 41 north of Green Bay, and across the Fox Valley east to the lakeshore should anticipate brief periods of poor visibilities through early this afternoon.
In addition, west winds of 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph will cause some blowing and drifting of the new snow which could cause roads and bridges to become snow covered and slippery, especially on north-south roads and in open or rural areas.
