Trump’s Great Reactor Revival

Practical Investment Analysis for the New Energy Economy

Trump's Great Reactor Revival

For most of the year, the town of Davos is a quiet little spot nestled in the Swiss Alps.

More often than not, the speeches given at Davos devolve into meaningless virtue signaling.

So when President Trump stood up in that alpine theater this week and started talking about nuclear energy like it was a construction order, it landed differently.

This wasn't a mere ceremony or philosophical throat-clearing.

Trump bluntly admitted that the U.S. needs an absurd amount of new electricity to feed the AI economy, and that the grid is too old to carry the weight.

And the punch he delivered made every data-center executive sit upright — if you need power at that scale, build it yourselves, and build it fast.

But this wasn't some virtue signaling on climate change.

What they heard was an ultimatum to every major tech player in the audience.

It was also the clearest sign yet that Trump will aggressively pursue the nuclear renaissance that he's been hinting at since taking office.

Buckle up, because this is going to be one helluva profitable ride.

Gold's Back on Top — But the Smart Money's Skipping the Vault

Turkey, India, Kazakhstan, Poland, Singapore — all are quietly hoarding bullion like squirrels before winter. And according to the World Gold Council, central banks are projected to buy even more gold over the next five years… while simultaneously reducing their exposure to the U.S. dollar.

This isn't speculation.

It's a coordinated exit.

You don't make these kinds of moves unless you know what's coming. And if you think they're doing it for fun — or for jewelry — you're missing the big picture.

Just imagine owning gold the same way that central banks do — but without the baggage?

Here's how you do it.

Trump's Great Reactor Revival

Today's nuclear renaissance isn't being pitched as a feel-good energy transition.

Far from it.

No, dear reader, this push to develop our nuclear power is being framed as a national buildout, built around reliability, speed, and the cold reality that the U.S. is about to hit an electricity wall.

You see, Trump's version of the future involves energy that's additive, not subtractive.

You and I both know that the first lever is financing.

Federal energy lending is being reworked and reprioritized, with nuclear explicitly treated as a preferred destination for big-ticket support, instead of an afterthought that needs to beg for oxygen.

There's no doubt that cash is the only policy that pours concrete.

The second lever is the grid itself, and this is where the urgency is more pronounced.

Right now, the Trump administration is pushing emergency procurement actions in the largest U.S. power market, specifically to get more than $15 billion worth of new reliable baseload generation into the pipeline. He's doing this while still providing 15-year revenue certainty to accelerate construction and forcing the biggest new electricity consumers to pay for the generation built on their behalf.

That's the AI era in plain English: if you want to outcompute the world, you're going to need a better grid to do it.

However, what comes next is the part that most people ignore until the bottleneck emerges that throws it all into jeopardy.

Fuel.

But President Trump knows this. It's why he's now directing some serious cash behind domestic uranium enrichment capacity and advanced fuel supply chains, including the fuel types the next generation of reactors will require.

Why? Well, because you can't build a nuclear future using a foreign supply chain that may not be there when you need it.

C'mon folks, that's just pure logistics.

It's also the reason why small modular reactor development is being funded through big awards, and restart projects are being financed like they're real assets instead of nostalgia projects. This is a subtle but important shift in the industry's psychology.

Look, you don't finance something like that unless you plan to make it run.

We've moved beyond the theoretical stages of next-gen nuclear reactors… and we're still playing catch-up with China.

The Nuclear Renaissance Starts Now

I know that most investors will hear "nuclear renaissance" and immediately sprint toward the noisiest stock on the board.

That's usually how you end up trading with the rest of the investment herd.

But the real winners in a nuclear buildout aren't chosen by headlines.

They're chosen by bottlenecks, procurement lanes, and the parts of the supply chain the industry cannot replace on short notice.

In every gold rush, the people selling picks get rich before the first nugget hits the table.

That's why the nuclear opportunity is bigger than "new reactors."

It's fuel enrichment, advanced fuels, components, engineering, restarts, life extensions, and the utilities positioned to lock in baseload advantages while everyone else is negotiating curtailment rules for power-hungry data centers.

And this is where the China angle becomes unavoidable.

You see, China doesn't win AI supremacy by giving speeches about innovation.

It wins by running the machines nonstop at industrial scale, with power that doesn't blink when the wind stops or the sun goes down.

Again, Trump knows this.

And as his push for more nuclear power accelerates, there's one winner I'm buying first.

Until next time,
