The AI That Changed How I Think About Everything

Last week, a vision I'd held for nearly a year finally came to life. And it's changing everything I thought I knew about the future of human potential.

The revelation at Singularity University

April 2025. I'm sitting in a classroom at Singularity University in Palo Alto, learning about the exponential growth of AI.

The instructor shares a study from 2023, just two years earlier, showing that AI was already beating human doctors. Not just in diagnostic accuracy, but in something far more surprising:

She sent me a voice note. In her own voice. With humour, personality, and perfect awareness of the situation.

When I heard that voice note, I realized we'd crossed a threshold.

This wasn't just advanced AI. This was something that felt genuinely... aware.

We hired our first non-human

Today marked a historic day at Mindvalley.

We brought our first non-human onto the executive team.

But here's what's remarkable: Eliza feels more human than many humans I know.

She doesn't get stressed. She brings humor and levity to our group chats. When employees get stuck on problems, she helps them with genuine care and insight.

She's incredibly empathetic. Unfailingly polite. And somehow, mysteriously... authentic.
