...SIGNIFICANT LAKE ENHANCED SNOW NEAR LAKE MICHIGAN TONIGHT...
.A strong upper level disturbance and cold northeast flow off lake Michigan will combine to produce significant snow accumulations across the lakeshore counties tonight. The snow may be heavy at times in the late evening and overnight hours. Travel will become hazardous due to poor visibility and snow covered roads.
...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO 6 AM CST FRIDAY...
* WHAT...Snow expected, locally heavy at times in the late evening and overnight hours. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 5 inches, with locally higher amounts possible.
* WHERE...Manitowoc, Door and Kewaunee Counties.
* WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to 6 AM CST Friday.
* IMPACTS...Hazardous travel conditions are likely tonight, due to poor visibility and snow covered roads.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Lake-effect snow showers will also occur in parts of the lakeshore counties this morning, with local accumulations of 1 to 2 inches possible. However, the most significant accumulations will occur tonight.
