...WINTRY PRECIPITATION CONTINUING ACROSS THE AREA...
.Occasional light snow was impacting northern Wisconsin early this morning, while a light wintry mix was observed along and south of a line from Marshfield to Sturgeon Bay. The precipitation is expected to increase again during the late morning and afternoon, with mixed precipitation changing to snow in the southern and eastern parts of the forecast area during the afternoon. The snow will taper off from south to north during the late afternoon and evening. Reduced visibilities and snow or ice covered roads will result in hazardous travel conditions.
...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CST THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...A light mix of snow, sleet and freezing drizzle, especially in the late morning and afternoon. Thunder is possible in the late morning and afternoon. Additional snow and sleet accumulations ranging from a half inch to around two inches. Ice accumulations ranging from a light glaze to near one tenth of an inch. The greatest ice accumulations are expected in Manitowoc and southeast Kewaunee counties.
* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, and northeast Wisconsin.
* WHEN...Until 6 PM CST this evening.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions will impact the morning and evening commutes.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...After a lull early this morning, the mixed precipitation is expected to increase in coverage during the late morning and early afternoon, and may be accompanied by thunder.
The mixed precipitation will change over to all snow during the mid to late afternoon.
