.A strong upper level disturbance and cold northeast flow off lake Michigan will combine to produce significant snow accumulations across the lakeshore counties tonight. The snow may be heavy at times in the late evening and overnight hours. Travel will become hazardous due to poor visibility and snow covered roads.
...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO 6 AM CST FRIDAY...
* WHAT...Snow expected, locally heavy at times in the late evening and overnight hours. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 5 inches, with locally higher amounts possible.
* WHERE...Manitowoc, Door and Kewaunee Counties.
* WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to 6 AM CST Friday.
* IMPACTS...Hazardous travel conditions are likely tonight, due to locally heavy snow, poor visibility and snow covered roads.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Lake-effect snow showers will occur in parts of the lakeshore counties this morning, with accumulations of 1 to 2 inches and locally higher amounts. However, the most significant accumulations and worst travel conditions are anticipated tonight.
